Physical Chemistry of Materials and Processes

Description

The research activity is oriented in the study of new materials and their functional properties for applications in the energy and environmental field, also developing through: diagnostics of artefacts of historical and artistic interest, modeling of complex systems and processes.

It is divided into the following topics:

  1. Study of the photocatalytic activity of Titanium dioxide for the reduction of emerging organic and biological pollutants.
  2. Development of an innovative technique for the treatment of asbestos-containing waste by the SHS process.
  3. Synthesis and characterization of new magnetic and superconducting materials.
  4. Molecular design of the electronic, structural and spectroscopic properties of complex systems: organic conjugated, inorganic and hybrid.
