Extra-UE Ph.D. students: how to move up the appointmemt in "Questura" for the release or renewal of stay permit

In february 2024 an agreement between the University of Genova and Police Department (Questura di Genova) is allowing the possibility to drastically shorten times for the release of stay permit.

First, students must apply for the appointment following the ordinary procedure, which is well described in the attached file (going to the Post Office). Then, those who are willing to anticipate the apointment should accurately fill the online form here: https://forms.office.com/e/X1XfJ7tatY, entering with Microsoft Office 365 credentials. Students may fill the form only at least 20 days after issuing the application at the Post Office.

Every week, the University will have up to 10 reserved appointments, always on wednesday between 8.30 and 10.45. Few days before, the students will receive from the Unige Welcome Office (SASS) an e-mail with the day and time to go to Questura. It is responsability of each student to check to have all the required documents for the appointment. In fact, if some essential document is missing, all the procedure must be repeated.
